"I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There's a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts." - Ronald Reagan
In the middle of arguably the largest wild salmon run in the world taking place in the Gulf of Alaska, in just a few short weeks, our military will be performing the largest military war game with live ammunition in the Middle of the Same body of Water.

Their own report linked in this article states the devastation it will have on the fisheries and sea-life for years to come. Yet they go ahead with it at a time which is sure to collapse the salmon fisherman into years of debt and of course wiping out many of the small business.
I'm sure General Electric will be happy about the war games, as the contaminants placed into the water will be blamed for the current West Coast devastation of wild-life, which you will hear minimally about in the mass media, again owned by General Electric, but you will never once hear mention of the word Fukushima or the words radiation poisoning.
I'm sure that Monsanto will be there to pick up with pieces with genetically modified farmed salmon, a product that until now has been generally shunned by the public for fresh Wild Alaska Salmon. However if there is no fresh Wild Alaska Salmon, then industry will turn to whatever Salmon there is, in order to keep their restaurants full and their grocery store fish departments stocked. Of course, it won't be labeled as a GMO product and they will probably take the words Wild and Alaska out of it, but some manufacturer will re-brand their product as Alaskana or KenaiWaters and people won't realize they are being mis-led.
Finally with the destruction of our Alaska Salmon Industry that breaks way for the Koch Brothers to open up their pet project, Pebble Mine - a gold deposit discovered in Alaska but prohibited from being mined due to the devastation to the environment, and the loss of the salmon industry again due to the chemicals used in mining.
One has to wonder with the current state of our affairs; Who exactly is the military serving?

So as you read the below article keep in mind the questions I've posed above and ask yourself if our government is the same government our service men and women, fathers, brothers, mothers and sisters have fought for, and given life and limb for. If it's not, then Rise Up America and be as true to their memory as they were to us.
